Camberwick Green Camberwick Green was first shown in 1966 and soon gained a cult following amongst children and adults; all of whom fell in love with the idyllic village setting and happy characters. The series was the brainchild of Gordon Murray, whose wish was to create a show where the rural village was the real star with individual storylines built around it. The village would then be populated with characters who were nice, and kind, and helpful, and happy. |  |
